Tripod HM8 Floor Lamp 2024 by Hvidt & Mølgaard
The re-launched Tripod Floor Lamp strikes a delicate balance between the simplicity of its design and the softness of its curved lines. For easy articulation and a more precise light, a swivel joint has been introduced – a feature now seen across the entire Tripod range.
Alongside this, the introduction of a new finish, white with brass details, accentuates the graceful proportions of the original design.
Peter Hvidt (1916-1986) and Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen (1907-1993) were pioneers of Danish mid-century design and the founders of Copenhagen-based firm Hvidt & Mølgaard.

Materials
The shade is spun from a single piece of aluminium and attached to the base with a rotational joint. The base is made from bent steel tubes welded together.
The whole lamp is lacquered in a satin matt finish.
Rotation joint and details are in brass.
