Saia Bar Stool by Matthew Hilton for De La Espada
Saia is a family of upholstered shell seating that addresses a variety of seating needs for residential or contract use. The upholstery was designed to be made in two parts. This helps disguise the visual weight of the chair, making it appear lighter. It also allows the seating to be upholstered in a single material or a combination of two.
The kick-out at the back of the skirt is a subtle detail that allows the line of the shell to follow the leg angle. The leg frame is an independent element that can be easily removed when needed.
