PH 2/1 Portable Table Lamp by Louis Poulsen
New from Louis Poulsen for 2024 is a portable, rechargeable version of Poul Henningsen's famous PH 2/1 Table Lamp. Utilising the same iconic three-part mouth-blown opal glass shade for glare-free lighting, the portable table lamp is equipped with an LED light source, two replaceable, rechargeable batteries, a USB-C charging cable and a sophisticated dimming function.
Poul Henningsen designed the three-shade system back in 1925-1926. The first lights using the system were designed by PH in cooperation with Louis Poulsen for an exhibition in Paris. This partnership continued right up until his death in 1967.
