Oda Lounge Chair By Arnold Madsen

Oda Lounge Chair By Arnold Madsen

The Oda Chair (aka Model 9) was an ambitious design from the very beginning. Created by Arnold Madsen in around 1956, this aesthetic reinterpretation of an armchair has a horseshoe construction with an integrated headrest and beautifully incorporated armrests in wood. Both pieces are complex to build.

The Oda Lounge Chair and Ottoman were then rediscovered in the 1980s by design expert Noritsugu Oda, an avid collector of Danish Modern design - Mr Oda is thought to have the world’s largest private chair collection with at least 1,350 chairs.
This chair and ottoman set design soon gained renewed attention - and took the collector's name.

Pair with the matching Oda Ottoman for even more comfort.
