Although known for his work in wood throughout his career, Hans J. Wegner often explored the limits and potential of other materials. The carefully considered CH88 dining chair is one such example.
The CH88 is versatile, elegant and functional. Its convenient stackable design seamlessly joins wood and industrial steel, showcasing Wegner’s skill in lending softness to minimalist forms.

Materials
Carl Hansen & Søn use premium quality timber for all their furniture:
the design of the piece dictates which species of timbers are available.

Note on finishes
Oak has a visible wood structure when painted, and is only available in Black.
Beech has minimal structure when painted and is available in colours selected by Carl Hansen & Søn. As a natural material, timber may vary in tone and pattern even within the same same log.
