Boxton is simply constructed from four powder-coated sheet metal uprights and two horizontal stained plywood squares. The design has a theatrical silhouette due to a gentle curve in the shape of the uprights and the conical black feet. Boxton takes inspiration from museum display plinths, ideal for displaying objects on top, with practical storage below.
This piece is part of the 2025 SCP Boxed Collection. Initially launched in 2009, the brief challenges designers to create pieces that fit within the dimensions of a standard DHL international shipping box (480 x 400 x 390mm).
